Community Engagement

Our Foundation is dedicated to creating engaging and educational experiences that foster a collective spirit of marine stewardship. Our annual “Sea Stars Celebration” recognizes those doing extraordinary things in sanctuary research, conservation and protection, while also raising funds for sanctuary programs. Events like Sanctuary Exploration Center movie nights, scavenger hunts, beach cleanups, holiday receptions, and concerts overlooking the sanctuary, connect people to this special and unique part of the ocean. Our outreach efforts extend across traditional and digital media platforms, including news and magazine articles, blogs, films, television interviews, and social media, to convey the significance of the sanctuary and inspire community support and protection.
