Sanctuary Warriors Beach Cleanup

We were honored to co-host another successful beach cleanup with the Santa Cruz Warriors on March 6. More than just a cleanup, this event introduced local players and staff—some of whom may soon rise to the NBA with significant platforms, influence, and resources—to marine conservation and our mission. Over the years, key figures, including players and coaches, have become passionate supporters, with Head Coach Nick Kerr officially joining as a Sanctuary Foundation Ambassador last year.

After the cleanup, we gathered at the Sanctuary Exploration Center, where we screened our sanctuary films to educate our team of “Sanctuary Warriors.” The group then took part in a lively scavenger hunt at the Center before wrapping up with snacks from Iveta’s Café—a fitting end to an impactful day of stewardship and connection.
