JAKE SHIMABUKURO'S HOLIDAYS IN HAWAII
On December 10, 2024, world-renowned ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro treated the Monterey Bay Chapter and our friends to an unforgettable evening at his “Holidays in Hawaii” concert at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey. Known as the “G.O.A.T.” (greatest of all time) of the ukulele, Jake’s dynamic and soulful performance mesmerized the audience with the sounds of aloha.
As part of this special evening, Jake, who recently became a Foundation Ambassador, generously gifted several VIP ticket packages to the Foundation. During the concert, he gave a heartfelt shoutout to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, recognizing the work we do, our chapter director Ginaia Kelly, and our VIP guests. He spoke passionately about the importance of protecting our ocean sanctuary, raising awareness among the audience.
The experience was made even more memorable with backstage passes and gift bags for our lucky attendees, adding a personal touch to an already magical night.
Jake’s performance, generosity, and commitment to marine conservation made this event one to remember.
Thank you, Jake, for an incredible evening of music, inspiration, and aloha!
